Celebrating St. Lucia's Sporting Excellence

Congratulations to Hon. Levern Spencer, who was honoured with the Black Excellence Award for Outstanding Sportsmanship at the annual African Awards USA ceremony in Atlanta.
The prestigious award was presented by Consul General Darrel Montrope, recognising Levern's outstanding sporting career, achievements and continued contribution to the community.
A trailblazer for St. Lucia, Levern has represented our nation on the world stage, finishing among the top five at the World Indoor Championships and top six at the Olympic Games, while earning the title of Sportswoman of the Year 16 times.
SLUAG is proud to celebrate Levern and thank her for continuing to put St. Lucia on the map through her achievements, dedication and service to our community.
Representing the St. Lucian Association of Georgia at the ceremony were Cornelius Alfred, President; Marjorie Douglas, Vice President; and Digna (Kim) Williams, Organizing Secretary.
